CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland police are currently investigating an armed robbery at Bonkers Bar on Denison Avenue.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4 at the Denison Avenue bar.

The preliminary investigation reveals that a suspect entered the bar brandishing a black pistol.  He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt which covered his face, jeans and black Nike shoes.

The suspect pointed his weapon in the direction of the bar and demanded money from the bartender. He did fire two shots during the course of the robbery, into walls. The bartender placed a sum of money into a bag, which the suspect then took and fled in an unknown direction.

19 Action News has learned the man in the photo is believed to be an accomplice of the robber. He is described as a black male, full beard, wearing a red Falcons hat, gray coat, blue jeans and red shoes.  He is believed to have been driving a newer Honda CRV, black in color.

Anyone with information regarding the identification of this man is asked to contact First District Detectives at 216-623-5118.
