Canton: One bank robbery suspect arrested, another on the run

CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

Canton Police and FBI are investigating a bank robbery at the Bank of Magnolia on Cleveland Avenue SW.

Two masked suspects entered the bank on Wednesday just before 4 p.m. One suspect was wearing a sheer mask over his face and the other was wearing a bandana over his face.

One suspect jumped the counter and began gathering money while the other stood in the lobby with a gun.

They fled the bank in a 2013 white Toyota Camry.

A bank employee managed to follow the vehicle and give police info.

Police caught up to the suspects near 13th Street SE. One suspect, Thomas Jones, 24, was arrested and found with money and dye packs. He is charged with aggravated robbery.

The second suspect remains on the loose.
