Denver Broncos' wide receiver Wes Welker missed another day of practice on Monday. Welker suffered a concussion in a week 14 win over the Tennessee Titans. He missed Thursday's loss to the Chargers.
Welker suffered two concussions in consecutive games. The first one came on December 1st when the Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. Welker returned to practice the Friday before a week 14 match up with the Titans, Welker complied with NFL concussion procedure and was able to return for the game, he suffered a second concussion during that game against the Titans.
The Broncos (11-3) have already clinched a spot in the playoffs and are in first place in the AFC West. They're remaining two games are against the Houston Texans (2-12) and the Oakland Raiders (4-10). Denver quarterback Peyton Manning has also missed some practices recently to get some rest for the playoffs. Welker may be held out to ensure that he is ready to go once the playoffs begin. If he isn't cleared to practice by Wednesday he most likely will sit out once again this week.
