Medical Examiner identifies woman shot in head on east side

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the 21-year-old woman who was fatally shot while in a car on Cleveland's east side on Wednesday night.

Terria Nettles was a passenger in a car when she was shot in the 4100 block of East 146th Street. The vehicle was being driven by another person and had turned into a driveway in an attempt to turn around. Shot(s) were fired from outside the vehicle, and Nettles was hit in the head. She was rushed to Metro, where she died.

There have been no arrests. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464.

A vigil will be held Friday night at 5:30 p.m. at 4147 East 146 Avenue for Nettles.
