PAINESVILLE TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -
The Lake County Sheriff is looking for the man who stole from the Salvation Army.

This past weekend, a man came into the Giant Eagle store on Mentor Avenue in Painesville Township, and posed as a Salvation Army bell ringer.

The suspect convinced the worker that he was their relief, then after taking over the Salvation Army donation pot stand and posing as the bell ringer, he proceeded to steal the donations by grabbing the pot of money and exiting the store.

The suspect was wearing a cowboy-type hat and a tan jacket. If anyone knows who this person is, or have seen him recently, please contact the Detective Bureau at 440-350-5500.
