CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A man convicted in 1995 of murder has been granted a new trial.

Anthony Lemons did years in prison before finally being paroled, but he's never stopped fighting to clear his name.

An order granting the new trial has just been granted.  It cites numerous holes in the case especially revolving around a witness who testified.

"I'm pleased. I will continue to fight," says Lemons.

Among the contradictions, the witness said the killer had on Nike shoes, but those shoes weren't produced until years later.

Attorneys David Malik, Kevin Spellacy, and Dennis Neerman have been working on the case.

It's not clear yet when the new trial might be.
