Homeless man arrested after woman's body found in shed

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police have arrested a homeless man after a woman's body was discovered in a shed Monday night.

Jacob T. Umana, 37, was charged with murder and booked into the Summit County Jail.

He's scheduled for an arraignment hearing on December 26, 2013 at 9:00am in Akron Municipal Court.

Police say 44-year-old woman's body was found in the 600 block of East Buchtel Avenue around 11:00 p.m. Monday.

The cause of death will be determined after the Medical Examiner's Office performs an autopsy today.
