Police investigate car submerged in water with body inside

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A vehicle with a body inside was found submerged in water in Wildwood State Park on Cleveland's eastside Thursday morning.

Officials on scene tell 19 Action News that dispatchers received a 911 call about the car around 11 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to Larry Gray, with the Cleveland Fire Department, the car is a white sedan and the victim is black male. 

The car was found in about six feet of water just off the boat ramp. 

The coroner's office has been called out. They are currently waiting for the car to be towed.

Cleveland Metroparks Rangers are handling the investigation.
