Seven killed on Ohio highways over Christmas holiday

(WOIO) -

Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, six crashes led to seven deaths according to the State Highway Patrol.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be out in full force this holiday season removing dangerous and impaired drivers in an effort to reduce fatal and injury crashes.

Last year in Ohio, seven people died in OVI-related crashes between Christmas and New Year's.

With the upcoming New Year's Holiday, the Patrol is asking motorists to help bring a safe end to 2013 by not driving impaired and ensuring everyone in your vehicle is buckled-up.
