CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The stretch of Interstate 90 near Vrooman Rd. has turned out to be treacherous with three major pile-ups in one week and two of those mass accidents came last night.

"It was a long night.  It was a big mess," Jared Fox from Bob's Garage said. "It was hectic quite a few vehicles were tangled up."

When it comes to the clean-up, authorities call the father and son team at Bob's Garage and Towing in Painesville to get the job done.

A jack-knifed truck embedded into the back of another semi-truck was just some of the carnage from last night.  Three days earlier on Christmas Eve, 28 vehicles ran into each other in the same area.

So, what makes this stretch of I-90 near Vrooman Rd. so dangerous?

"Construction. There is no room for error and people drive too fast and follow each other to closely," Fox said.

After working two marathon shifts, clearing the highway, crews at Bob's reflect on the amazing fact no one was killed.

"A lot of people are lucky, considering all those accidents, no one was seriously injured or killed," Fox added.
