CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

It's been a busy start to the New Year for state police.

"A lot of fender-benders especially near Brooklyn." Trooper Joe Cirilo recalls his morning. "We have a lot of disabled cars we have to check on to make sure everybody is warm."

Several abandoned vehicles were left in the storm overnight.

Earlier in the morning, The Downtown Cleveland Alliance was prepared, if need be, to dig out the city, but it wasn't necessary.

But, the few inches that did fall meant work for Lake Erie landscaper Greg Corsi, who plows snow when he can.

"Making money, so the economy is good for me," Corsi said.

And for up-state, New York resident Marina Gaeta, the snow was nothing.

"I run in rain or snow, whatever, it has not bothered me," Gaeta said.

From 90 E.,  to 271 S., to 480 W., to 77 N., the plows did a good job.

"ODOT did a great job, fantastic job trying to keep up with it," Cirilo added.
