CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The City of Cleveland has its snow removal fleet out on the road. Throughout the day on Thursday, the Division of Streets will staff 42-45 drivers to focus on main roadways and residential areas as temperatures are expected to remain below freezing. There is plenty of salt on hand.

Residents are urged to take proper precautions to keep themselves safe in the cold weather and while shoveling snow.

The City of Cleveland encourages residents to:

  • Park off-street whenever possible to give snow plows the ability to plow streets curb-to-curb.
  • Stay off the streets as much as possible for their own personal safety and to allow snow plows greater access to the city's roadways.
  • If you must travel, use caution, allow extra time, and remember not to "block the box" at intersections.
  • Residents with snow removal concerns should call 216-664-2510.
