RICHMOND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

According to the Illuminating Company, a power line came down around 3 a.m. Tuesday, causing power outages in Euclid, Richmond Heights, the east side of Cleveland and a portion of Beachwood.

At the height of the problem, about 15,000 customers had no power.

By 11:30 a.m., the power was restored.

No word yet on why the power line came down.

Residents seeking shelter in Richmond Heights may go to the Richmond Town Square Mall.  The City of Beachwood opened a warming station in its Community Center at 25325 Fairmount Blvd. for residents who have lost gas or power.
