Denver and San Francisco move on in NFL postseason

The Denver Broncos will host the AFC Championship game after defeating San Diego 24-17 on Sunday. They'll play New England next week.

Peyton Manning passed for two touchdowns and 230 yards to lead the Broncos, the top seed in the AFC, to the win. Receiver Keenan Allen had a 142 yard, two touchdown performance for the Chargers in a losing effort.

Earlier on Sunday, San Francisco went into Carolina and beat the Panthers 23-10. Colin Kaepernick passed for one touchdown and ran for another in the win. 

In his first playoff game, Carolina quarterback Cam Newton passed for 267 yards and a touchdown, he was intercepted twice and sacked five times. 

San Francisco will play in Seattle in the NFC Championship next Sunday.
