Two women violently attacked in Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Heights police are investigating violent attacks on two separate women.

The latest attack happened Monday evening on Montford Road.

The Chief tells 19 Action News the 50-year-old victim was walking when two men walked past her. The men turned around, and hit her near her face. They took off on foot after the attack. The suspects are described as two males in their upper teens.

On Saturday, a 41-year-old woman was attacked while walking on Elbon Road. Three men crossed the street and struck her from behind. One of the men grabbed her backpack, while the others punched and kicked her in the head and chest several times, reports say.

She suffered a perforated eardrum, head trauma and a swollen eye.

The Police Chief tells 19 Action News they don't know yet if these are the same suspects.
