CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

New information on a teenager attacked on Cleveland's Public Square.

On Monday, Thomas Black, 17, says he was standing at the bus stop on Public Square when two teens approached and attacked him without saying a word.

Black tells 19 Action News that he recognized one of the suspects, and police were able to catch him.

19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek received an email from a relative of the suspect on Thursday morning.

The relative would like to apologize to Black's family, and is also calling for punishment for the family member responsible.

Officers tell 19 Action News that they break up fights and crowds of violent teens on a regular basis. Usually, the teens go after other teens after school. Many kids switch buses and trains at Public Square and Tower City.
