MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) – -

Middletown Police are investigating a kidnapping and armed robbery that occurred on Saturday.

Authorities say a 56-year-old woman was using an ATM machine at US Bank on Roosevelt Boulevard when a man approached her with a gun demanding cash. The suspect then forced the woman in to her car at gunpoint and ordered her to drive away.

The woman drove about a mile before the suspect exited her vehicle in the 1500 block of Jackson Lane, fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A K-9 track was unable to find the suspect, who police are considering armed and dangerous. He is described as a white male, 5"10, wearing a blue checkered flannel shirt, red sweatshirt, a gray scarf and a hat.

The investigation is being conducted by Middletown detectives, who are asking anyone with information to call them at 513-425-7701.
