Sex offender pleads not guilty in CSU attack

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The man accused of attacking a Cleveland State University student pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Thursday morning.

Judge set bond at $50,000 for William Lane.

The incident happened on Monday morning as a woman was walking near a parking garage and the University administration building.

According to court records, Lane approached her, asked her name, grabbed her hand and then kissed her on the mouth.

19 Action News has learned that Lane is a registered sex offender.
