CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Cleveland mother is more than a little upset after her special needs daughter was dropped off more than a half mile from home, in a dangerous neighborhood.

Mom Janis Taylor tells 19 Action News Reporter Paul Orlousky this happened Thursday afternoon. Taylor's daughter Janetta is 25, with the abilities of a three-year-old.

CTS Transportation was supposed to bring Taylor to East 139th Street, but instead let her off at Idarose Avenue, off of Hayden Avenue.

Luckily, an alert neighbor was paying attention.

Michelle Britton saw the bus drop off Taylor and knew something wasn't right.

"He just dropped her off and left. I was trying to flag him down and he didn't even look back or nothing," said Britton.

Britton took Taylor her in, looked through her book bag and found the name of her school. The school than called Taylor's mom, who rushed to pick her up.

"What if she would have wandered off, there's so much crime on Hayden.  All those different young ladies have come up missing," says mom Janis Taylor.

CTS Transportation had no comment.
