Several counties issue snow emergencies

The following counties have issued a Level 1 snow emergency in wake of Monday's wintry weather.

  • Sandusky Co.
  • Wayne Co.

A Level 1 snow emergency means that roads (township and county, mainly secondary) are hazardous with the possibility of blowing and drifting snow. Roads are icy and drivers should use caution, if they choose to drive.

The following counties have issued a Level 2 snow emergency

  • Erie Co.
  • Huron Co.

A Level 2 snow emergency means that roadways are extremely hazardous with blowing, drifting snow and/or flooding. Only those who feel it necessary to travel should be on the roadways. Employees should comply with workplace policies or contact their employer.
