(WMC-TV) – Missourian Sandy Lawrence, who served as a surrogate in 2012 for her daughter-in-law and son, has done it again.

On Wednesday, February 5, Sandy gave birth to her second grandchild, a boy named Jarrett Jacob.

Little Jarrett arrived at 8:04 p.m., weighing six pounds, 10.5 ounces and was 20.25 inches long.

In February 2012, Jarrett's sister, Mya, was born to parents, Mindy and Jake. Mya was also born via a surrogate, her grandmother, Sandy.

In special report two years ago, the family, who lives in Oregon Co., Mo. talked about their situation.

Mindy, 25, said she is unable to bear her own biological children after having a hysterectomy six years ago.

"They really couldn't pinpoint everything. We kind of took a shot in the dark hoping that my last option was a hysterectomy and the doctor that we used said, 'I don't know that this is going to fix your problems,'" said Mindy. "At that time, I was saying, I don't care. Take it out of me. I don't care if I can't have my own (child)."

Mindy and her husband Jake tried adopting children, but they decided to opt for surrogacy.
