The Washington Wizards hosted the Cavaliers Friday night and gave them as much as they could possibly handle. The Wizards shot 55% from three point range as a team but came up just short, giving the Cavaliers the 115-113 victory, snapping a six game losing streak.
Dion Waiters led the team in scoring Friday, putting up 24 points and four rebounds. Kyrie Irving was right behind him with 23 of his own points, also adding 12 assists to earn his fifth double double of the season.
Leading the way for the Wizards Friday night was John Wall with 32 points and 10 assists. Martell Webster was a thorn in the Cavaliers' side all night scoring 18 points and going 6-for-10 from three point range, including a three point shot with two seconds remaining in the game to pull the Wizards within two points of the Cavs'. Marcin Gortat added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Washington in the two point loss.
The Wizards (24-25) will wrap up their five game home stand on Sunday as they will host the Sacramento Kings.
The Cavaliers (17-33) will come back home to Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday to host the Memphis Grizzlies, tip off is at 9:00 pm ET.
