Many questioned why the Cavaliers fired their GM, Chris Grant, instead of head coach Mike Brown last week, but they cannot argue with the results so far. The Cavs won their second game in a row since the move, beating Memphis 91-83 in overtime.
Kyrie Irving tied the game at 78 with 18 seconds left in regulation with a driving lay up on which he was fouled, he did not convert the free throw. The Cavs still had a chance to win it in regulation but Dion Waiters missed a half court shot at the buzzer. They made up for it in overtime. The Cavaliers outscored the Grizzlies 13-5 in the extra stanza to win it 91-83.
Irving scored a game-high 28, Waiters put in 18 off the bench.
The win improved Cleveland's record to 18-33.
