CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

It may be hard to think spring when outside your door are piles of snow and cold temperatures.

"I am so sick of the snow. I'm ready for spring," says Patty Sulik.

You can temporarily escape the winter woes by stepping indoors at the IX Center where spring is in full bloom.

"I want to take this home with me. It's beautiful here. There are gardens and you can just smell the flowers and it's just gorgeous here," says Patty Sulik.

We caught up with the Sulik family getting ideas for their patio they've been saving up two years to build. Reagan already has it all mapped out.

"Couches with seating and kind of a bonfire in it," added Reagan Sulik.

Home and Garden officials tell us for this 2013 event, nearly 110,000 people turned out for the nine day long event that showcases more than a dozen northeast Ohio landscapers.

For 2014 they expect even bigger crowds because of the bitter blast.

"Every time we come here we say we want that and that and we go home and pretend," says Ken Sulik.

Only, there won't be any pretending for their dream patio.

Ken Sulik says he plans on saving money by doing a little DIY and making the addition a family affair. He picks up the tab but everyone pitches in.

"I want grass. I want to go in the yard and run around," says Ken Sulik.

The Great Big Home and Garden Show runs through this Sunday.
