Property owner accused of shooting burglar held on $20,000 bond

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A 60-year old Cleveland property owner accused of shooting a suspected burglar is locked up on $20,000 bond.

Miodrag Bugarcic appeared in court Saturday morning for a preliminary hearing. He is charged with felonious assault.

Police say an intruder was breaking in an abandoned business near East 65 Street and Sidaway last Thursday when Bugarcic shot him.

The victim, who has not been charged, is listed in critical condition at Metrohealth Medical Center.

According to police records Bugarcic also shot and killed one intruder and wounded another in at least three other incidents.

The most recent was last November.
