Police: Men admit to shooting heroin with baby inside car

PERKINS TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

Four men admit to shooting heroin while driving around with a baby inside the car.

A concerned citizen notified Perkins Township Detectives after watching the men toss beer cans from their vehicle.

The group was observed at WalMart purchasing some items and then quickly leaving. Detectives witnessed the group throw a syringe from the vehicle. The group was stopped and found to have heroin, a box of 100-count syringes, marijuana and alcohol in the vehicle along with several used syringes.

19 Action News has learned a seven-month-old baby was also discovered inside the vehicle.

The men admitted to shooting heroin with the baby inside the vehicle.

The child's father, Steven Eliyas, 25; Brian Humberger, 32; Michael McDavitt, 25; and Albert Oeder, 21, were arrested on a number of charges, including child endangering.

Erie County Children Services along with Sandusky County Children Services also were involved and assisted with the investigation.
