WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO) -

The Willoughby Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened near Euclid Ave. and Som Center Road on Feb. 19 around 5:20 p.m.  The shooting occurred at the Willo Park Apartments.

The victim, a man, was shot in the torso and life-flighted to MetroHealth Medical Center.  His condition is unknown.

A woman who lives in the apartments says it happened around 4:30.  Four young men drove up in a white Camry.  Two others stood outside the door of the apartment building.

One woman says her brother walked out of the building and was asked by the men in the car if he was with the two near the door.  He left just before the shooting happened.

19 Action News Reporter, Dawn Kendrick asked the woman if she believes the shooting could have been drug related.   The woman said, "There is a lot of it going on around here but you can't really do anything about it."  "Just please try and catch them, as quickly as you can because it's hard but it's everywhere."
