HUDSON, OH (WOIO) -

274 Armed Forces members from Ohio have lost their lives in the Middle East since 9/11.

Local Iraq War veteran, Zack Gillespie, is unveiling the memorial created to honor them today at the Pedal for Heroes: Remembrance Ride at Life Center Plus in Hudson.

Participants are riding a stationary bike for one minute for each military member from Ohio who has died serving in the Armed Forced in the Middle East.

The event started today at 12:30 p.m. and will go for at least 274 minutes. The $25 dollar entrance fee will go to help local veterans reintegrate into their local communities and provide military families with resources to help with post war stress.
