Police credit surveillance for arrest in gas station robberies

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) -

The suspect accused in two Elyria gas station robberies is being held without bond.

According to police, Walter Moody, Jr. robbed the Circle K on North Abbe Road on February 19 and True North on Lorain on the 20.

During the Circle K robbery, Moody allegedly asked the clerk for cigarettes, then told the clerk he had a gun and demanded cash. During the True North robbery, Moody allegedly again told the clerk he had a weapon and demanded cash.

No one was injured in either robbery.

Officers were able to bust Moody by watching the stores' surveillance videos.
