Second race in Triple Crown of Running goes off without a hitch

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Runners gathered from across the region to participate in the Rodes City Run 10K Saturday morning.

The race is the second leg of the Triple Crown of Running in Louisville. The first leg, the Anthem 5K Fitness Classic, was riddled with traffic problems after a location change that prevented some runners from even taking part.

Construction for the Ohio River Bridges Project is underway and has forced race organizers to change routes and work around certain areas of downtown.

The route for the Rodes City Run was slightly different than in years past but it didn't seem to have a negative impact on the day.

WAVE 3 News Reporter Katie Bauer finished the race and said there were no traffic problems this time around and great weather to boot.

The third leg of the Triple Crown of Running is the Papa Johns 10 Miler on March 22.
