Gangs jump teen waiting for RTA bus downtown

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A high school student is in the ICU after apparently being attacked in downtown Cleveland on Tuesday afternoon.

Cornelius Love II, 16, is a senior at charter school Castle Community High.

According to Love's mom, her son was waiting for the RTA bus to come home at East 18th and St. Clair when he was jumped.

A Good Samaritan spotted the injured teen stumbling around and took him to the ER. Love was able to give the Good Samaritan his mother's phone number.

His mom tells 19 Action News the teen is unconscious with numerous injuries, including a broken jaw.
