March madness has taken Ohio St. out of the tournament.
The first upset on the brackets is Dayton taking down in-state big brother OSU with a final score of 60-59.
The Flyers took the lead for good when Vee Sanford banked in a layup with 3.8 seconds. With a time out to spare, the Buckeyes opted not to use it. Senior Aaron Craft had one last hard drive and shot to win it at the buzzer, but after a lot of contact the shot was off the mark.
Sam Thompson scored 18 points and Craft added 16 for Ohio State, which was eliminated after one game for only the third time in its 26 tournament appearances.
Dayton now goes on to face the winner of the Syracuse Western Michigan game on Saturday.
