FOX19 Investigates: Hamilton Co. court employee faces multiple drug charges

Posted: Updated:
HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton County court employee is facing multiple drug charges.

Drug agents swarmed the home of Stephanie Covington, 42, on Monday, arresting both Covington and her boyfriend.

Covington is a Municipal Court employee who works at the Hamilton County Justice Center. She essentially helps gather information as inmates are processed to help judges determine their bond.

Covington, herself, was processed on drug charges Monday.  Investigators swarmed her house, located in the 4600 block of Linda Drive in Price Hill. Officers led Covington and her boyfriend away from the home in handcuffs. Her boyfriend has been identified as 41-year-old Andre Curry of Covington, Ky.

According to court documents, Covington has been charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine. She has also been charged for allowing her home to be used for the commission of a felony drug abuse.

FOX19 has been told by municipal court officials that, at the very least, Covington will be placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of her charges.

Curry is facing a laundry list of charges, including four counts of drug trafficking and three counts of drug abuse.

Covington is scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday morning in the same building where she has worked for the past 13 years.
