CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A 16-year-old boy is facing criminal charges after allegedly punching and kicking a teacher in Cleveland.

It happened on Wednesday at the Positive Education Program-Margaret Ireland School at 1800 East 63rd Street. 19 Action News has learned the school is not a CMSD school.

The teacher told police the student was also jumping on desks, entering different classrooms and swearing. When the teacher told him to stop, the student allegedly attacked him.

Police say the student also threatened another teacher and reportedly flipped over several desks.

The injured teacher did not require hospitalization.
