Cleveland, OH (WOIO) - The Browns may have skipped the trip to Texas on Thursday, but they'll be in California on Monday. Derek Carr, the Fresno State quarterback, and a player whose stock is skyrocketing, will be the first QB to work out for the Browns in a personal session. This, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Browns head coach Mike Pettine has already said Carr is "the best natural thrower" in the draft. And Carr's numbers in 2013 certainly back up that statement, as he led the nation with 5,082 yards and 50 touchdowns.
The Browns have skipped most of the Pro Day's, which are controlled and scripted, including Johnny Manziel's dazzling performance at Texas A&M on Thursday. But they will be working out Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Blake Bortles and others. And it starts with Carr on Monday.
