ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) -

This winter has been particularly hard on many Northeast Ohio cities like Elyria. That city's snow removal budget is completely shot.

Having to accounting for salt, plows, overtime for crews, pothole repair and water main ruptures, the city has spent almost a quarter million dollars more on maintenance this year than it did last year.

Those same potholes really did a number on Lavonya Wright's car.

"They're terrible! I tore up one car and had to get another," says Wright.

And even though this winter was good for business at Don's Towing, the owner has had enough.

"We've seen enough snow. This weather takes it toll on everyone," he said.

In spite of the fact that Spring began March 20, more snow is forecasted for this weekend.
