GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

At 9:15 p.m. Sunday, March 30 an accident happened between an Amish buggy and a car on Tavern Road in Geauga County. At this time this is not a fatal accident, but according to Lieutenant John Hiscox with the sheriff's office, one person has been transported by medical helicopter.

There are four people injured. At this time the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating and which people were in which unit, or whether there are any children, isn't known.

The horse pulling the buggy did break free from the initial impact, ran down Tavern Road, and ended up in another accident, with another vehicle. The entire road is now a rescue scene.

Numerous fire departments, including Burton, Troy and Middlefield are on the scene. According to the Geauga County Sheriff's office the injuries are severe.
