EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A man who police say intentionally rammed his truck into another man's truck is under arrest.

Police say Christina Stephens had been in a relationship with 35-year-old Adam Hartzel and had a protective order against him.

Police say Donald Stahl was helping Stephens gather her belongings from a home at 1412 Gibson Street on Sunday afternoon when Hartzel drove towards them at a high rate of speed.

Stephens was standing at the rear of a truck in the driveway and was able to get out of the way.

Stahl was in the bed of the truck when police say Hartzel rammed it.

Stahl was thrown from the truck and was knocked unconscious.  He was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Hartzel is charged with battery and two counts of criminal recklessness. He's also charged with invasion of privacy (violation of a protective order).
