CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The clock is ticking tonight to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

The deadline is midnight to log on and sign up online and for some it's been a real pain.

The website has had all kinds of problems Monday and Ohioans are lagging behind in getting signed up for Obamacare.

22-year-old Aaron Marshal was convinced to go to a health center on Cleveland's west side Monday afternoon.

"I hear it's pretty expensive for medical care if you ain't got insurance had to come and check it out," Marshal said. "Pretty important because I'm young and you don't know what can happen."

Neighborhood Family Practice has been helping folks maneuver through the Affordable Care Act for a month, and yet there are still hundreds waiting to be processed.

"The system has been up and down and it's been an influx all day and I think it's the sheer volume of people applying all day," Sarah Hackenbracht with Cuyahoga Health Access Partnership said.

But it's too early to know if that volume is coming from Ohio. The Buckeye State is one of the state's with the least enrolled to Obamacare, and it's critical to the success of the President's plan.

"We're technically closing the door at nine but we are not sending anyone away without insurance," said Hackenbracht, referencing Neighborhood Family Practice.

The system had all of it's problems with the marketplace insurance. The Medicaid site is fine.

But Aaron is willing to wait it out and understands he will have a long wait.

"It just got started and when new stuff gets started stuff always has to work out," Marshal said.

While the deadline for health insurance is midnight, as long as you register by midnight you will qualify.

There is no deadline to sign up for Medicaid.
