CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
19 Action News has a chilling picture of random gunshots inches from a two-year-old child's head, so we investigated to find the story behind it.

Anthony Tango will see a judge Wednesday morning, facing a weapons charge and he'll likely face many more.

Police say he got drunk and fired a new gun randomly into a neighbor's house, a terrifying situation for  the little girl and her parents.

The father told police he heard a pop or bang, went to his daughter's room and found her face covered in drywall debris. A seven-month-old child was inside the home as well.

First district officers had to search the house and found Tango hiding in a crawl space.

Police say he had a .40 caliber handgun that h
e said he'd just bought three weeks ago. He had just come home from drinking and he decided to fire off the gun.

No one answered Tango's door when reporter Ed Gallek went there.

At the little girl's house, a man said he's "trying to put it behind him" and he's "dealing with a lot of stuff."

Multiple sources told Gallek the suspect comes from a law enforcement family and he shouldn't have a gun since he already has a record.
