PARMA, OH (WOIO) -

A 43-year-old Wooster man was arrested after Parma Police found he was in possession of narcotics and there was evidence he was cooking methamphetamine in the trunk of his car.

It happened shortly after 3 a.m. at the intersection of Snow Road and Chevrolet Blvd.

Due to the dangerous and volatile nature of the chemicals involved with manufacturing methamphetamine, the roadway of Snow Rd. between Chevrolet Blvd and Woolman Court was temporarily closed. An investigator from B.C.I. responded to the scene and assisted Parma officers in processing the scene and collecting various items of evidence. The area was later deemed safe and the roadway was reopened for vehicular traffic.

The officers who stopped the car received treatment for being exposed to the chemicals located inside this vehicle.

The investigation continues.
