EAST CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A civil lawsuit has now been filed in Cuyahoga County Court over the death of a two-year-old boy at an East Cleveland apartment building.

On January 13, Alija Glenn crashed through a window and fell 17 stories at the Crystal Tower Apartments in East CLeveland.

Attorney Grant Goodman filed a lawsuit Tuesday morning against the property owners on behalf on the child's mother.

In the suit, Goodman claims the windows were "hazardous" and the outside of the building was also dangerous and not well maintained.

The building is owned by K&D Management, the lawsuit calls the company "Northeast Ohio's largest privately owned property management and development firm."

Just last week, the body of an elderly woman was found during a carbon monoxide incident at the high rise. Her death remains under investigation.
