KENT, OH (WOIO) -

Officials confirm that Kent State University student Breana Francis, 20, of Columbus, has been charged with obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.

Police say Francis hid Quavaugntay Tyler's gun after he allegedly discharged his gun during a domestic dispute near Bowman Hall last week.

The 24-year-old man apparently shot himself in the hand while going for his gun. No one else was injured, but the shooting prompted the entire campus to go into lock down mode for several hours.
