CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A former Thistledown Racino employee was sentenced to nine months in prison for stealing $50,000.

Claudia Chaney worked as a count room specialist.

The 33-year-old Cleveland Heights woman stole the money between September 27, 2013 and October 11, 2013.

In March, Chaney pled guilty to three counts of grand theft.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Nancy Russo says she will consider judicial release after Chaney serves 30 days.

Chaney must also pay $30,000 restitution to the Racino.
