2 dead in small plane crash in West Virginia, plane took off from Akron Fulton

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV -

A small Piper PA-32 plane has crashed in Kanawha County, near Charleston, West Virginia. 

The plane took off from Akron-Fulton International Airport around 3:15 p.m. It was scheduled to land in Spartanburg, SC around 6:30 p.m.

The flight records show the plane stops just before 5 p.m. after circling erratically over Kanawha County, WV. 

CBS affiliate WOWK reports Kanawha County emergency crews received reports of a small plane that had crashed in the mountains just before 5 p.m.
