(Toledo News Now) -

Multiple outages left thousands of people without power Monday morning. Some areas have been restored, while others are still left in the dark.

According to First Energy's map, only small pockets around Toledo still have no power at 2 p.m. Crews are at the scene and believe severe weather caused the outage.

As of around 2 p.m., about 600 are left without power in the Blissfield area. Crews have made it to most of the areas, but it is unknown when power can fully be restored.

Advice to keep you safe during storms:

-Stay at least 25 feet away from fallen wires and report them immediately by calling 911 or your electric company.

-Be alert to crews working along roads.

-If using a generator, contact a licensed electrician to ensure that it is properly connected -- and for the safety of line workers, make sure it is isolated from the company's electric distribution system. Never use a generator in an attached garage, basement or near any air intakes, and never fuel a generator when it is running.
