CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

We've all seen television shows and movies about young performers. Students here in Northeast Ohio are also doing what they love every day, while getting strong academics at the same time.

When you walk into the Cleveland School of the Arts, you can feel the energy in the halls. Students spend half the day in college prep classes and the other half in the art of their choice!

"If you can't act, you sing, if you can't sing, you dance, if you can't dance, you draw, if you can't draw you help out behind the stage,  if you can't help out behind the stage you take pictures,  there's literally something for everybody," said Principal Andrew Koonce.

Students come from all over the Cleveland School District, but also the suburbs, from Strongsville to Akron to Warren.

The Dance Ensemble recently attended an international dance conference, where students won scholarships to New York's Joffrey Ballet, and Dance Theater of Harlem.

You can check out the school's Visual Arts Exhibition, on display right now, at the Cleveland Museum of Art Education Wing.

The Vocal Music Spring Concert is set for May 7th at Tri-C East Campus.
