LATONIA, KY (FOX19) -

Authorities said a house was destroyed early Wednesday morning after a fire in Latonia, Ky.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East 41st Street. When firefighters arrived at the scene, authorities said the house was fully engulfed in flames. One woman smelled smoke inside the house and escaped without injuries.

Crews remained at the scene for several hours putting out hot spots. Authorities said the structure collapsed in the fire and is considered a total loss.

The American Red Cross was called to assist residents who were displaced.

Officials said two neighboring homes and a vehicle also had minor damage.
