The Tribe finally broke their six game losing streak Friday night when they faced off against the Chicago White Sox at home. The Indians came out strong right from the get go in the first inning by driving in five runs.
The Sox answered back but couldn't seem to keep up with the Indians bats. Carlos Santana and Michael Brantley both had home runs as well as RBI's. Bourn, Gomes, Raburn and Swisher also ended up with notable RBI's. Danny Salazar pitched until the beginning of the 6th inning and had six strike outs on the night. With Jason Kipnis out on injury, the Tribe had to come out of their funk and get back on track after suffering six harsh losses in a row. They definitely succeeded in doing so with a final score of 12-5.
