Posted: Updated:

Cleveland (WOIO) - For the second straight day, Indians reliever John Axford took the mound in a tight ballgame, and for the second straight day, he left after giving up the go-ahead home run, as the Twins took the first game of a four-game set at Progressive Field on Monday night, 1-0 in ten innings.

Eduardo Escobar provided the game's only run with his leadoff home run in the 10th.

Zach McAllister started for the Tribe, going six and two-thirds innings, giving up five hits and striking out eight, but his teammates could never give him the lead.

Kyle Gibson went seven innings for the Twins, holding the Indians to two hits.
